Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Aliwood Jets, a registered trade name of a corporation incorporated in the Province of Alberta (“Aliwood”, “we”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information through Aliwood Jets and our other websites and services. We comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and, where they apply to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us: your name, email address, phone or messaging number and preferred way of contact.
  • Request details: dates, destinations, number of guests, preferences and anything else you choose to tell us.
  • Preferences you share so we can serve you well, such as dietary needs or accessibility requirements. Please share health information only where it is genuinely needed for your request.
  • Technical information needed to deliver this website securely, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, recorded by our hosting provider in server logs.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

How we use it

  • To respond to your request and provide the services you ask for, which is necessary to take steps at your request and to perform our Engagement with you.
  • To introduce you to the Providers you choose, sharing only what they need to serve you.
  • To remember your preferences for future requests, with your consent.
  • To keep our records, meet our legal obligations, and protect against fraud and misuse.
  • To send occasional news from Aliwood, only if you have ticked the box to receive it. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who we share it with

  • Providers you choose to be introduced to, such as an aircraft operator or hotel, who then handle your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and form processor (Netlify, Inc.), our email provider, and a font service (Google Fonts) that delivers the typefaces used on this website. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
  • Authorities or advisors where the law requires it, or where needed to establish or defend legal claims.

We never sell your personal information, and we never name our clients publicly.

International transfers

Aliwood is based in Canada, and some of our service providers store information in other countries, including the United States. Information held abroad is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, generally for the duration of our relationship with you and up to seven years afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and the law allows.

How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted access, appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal and contractual limits. Where the GDPR applies, you may also object to or restrict certain uses and ask for a portable copy. We will reply within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or your local data protection authority.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children except as provided by a parent or guardian for the purpose of a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
